Nachdem der letzte Blogpost zu #throwbackthurday mehr oder weniger der bisherige Höhepunkt meines fotografischen Schaffens zeigt (sofern ich das behaupten darf), ist dieser Ausflug nach Afrika und Namibia in 2009 der eigentliche Anfang.
Nach einigem hin und her konnte ich endlich meine neue DSLR einen Tag vor Abflug in den Händen halten. Dies hatte dann aber auch zur Folge, dass ich so gar keine Ahnung hatte, wie ich das Schätzchen zu bedienen hatte. Somit wurden einige Fotos leider etwas unscharf und schon sehr farb intensiv.
Nichtsdestotrotz war Nambia natürlich eine tolle Sache und vor allem der Etosha Nationalpark und die Nähe zu Elefanten haben mich schwer beeindruckt. Und vielleicht schaffe ich es ja doch noch, eines Tages wiederzukommen und das eine oder andere Foto aufzufrischen.
Since last week's blogpost and #throwbackthursday showed some of the highlights produced since taking up photography (if I may say so) let's go back to the very beginning of me taking my very new DSLR to Namibia in 2009.
After some back and forth I managed to get hold of that DSLR a day before taking off to Africa. Going on safari and not being able to properly use such equipment may not have been ideal and the reason why some of those photos turned out to be out of focus and over-saturated.
Then again, Namibia was still amazing and I loved the Etosha Nationalpark and getting amazingly close to elephants. And some day I may return to freshen up some of those photos and memories.
