Von Spargel und Fahrrädern

Münster - Westfalens "Hauptstadt" liegt unweit vom Ruhrpott (wenn dies auch in letzter Woche um einiges weiter war als sonst) und somit gut, überstandene Prüfungen zu feiern, durch die schöne Münsteraner Altstadt zu radeln (Münster = viele Fahrräder), die zahlreichen Buchläden zu begutachten und über den samstäglichen Wochenmarkt (Stichpunkt  "Spargel") zu schlendern sowie zum frischen Matjesbrötchen zu greifen.

Zu den Entdeckungen des Wochenendes gehört aber auf jeden Fall auch das Factory Hotel auf dem Gelände der ehemaligen Germania Brauerei und dem neuen Germania Campus mit vielen Bars und Restaurants. Das kulinarische Highlight gab es allerdings im Kuhviertel, von dem ich beim nächsten Mal berichten werde.

Münster - Westphalia's centre and close enough to the Ruhrgebiet for celebrating special occasions. While this short stay doesn't give credit to all the things you could be doing, we enjoyed  exploring its old town by bike (Münster = a lot of bikes), taking note of the many, many book stores and tasting a fresh matie at the farmer's market (white asparagus!).

One of the main Münster discoveries has been the Factory Hotel  - a design hotel built off the former Germana brewery and transformed into the new Germania campus with lots of bars and restaurants. However, we found our culinary highlight in the Kuhviertel I will tell more about next time.
